Entry Level Salesforce Careers Titles & Common Misconceptions

When we think of entry level Salesforce careers we are typically talking about job titles like Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, Salesforce Project Manager or Salesforce Associate Consultant. These are just a few of the titles you can expect to see in entry level roles.

These are described as “declarative” or “point and click” which are really just clever ways of saying they aren’t developer/programmer roles. It means you don’t write code. It doesn’t mean they aren’t technical, it simply means the learning curve is less steep than moving into developer roles.

Common misconceptions about Salesforce Entry Level jobs:

– The job descriptions all ask for 2-3 years of experience so I can’t apply. While it’s true that most job postings have 2-3 years of experience listed, the reality is people with no experience typically land these roles. If you’re brand new you need to be applying to these.

– There are 100s if not 1000s of applicant on all job postings. Once again this is true, however after speaking with 20+ hiring teams it is clear that over 85% of all applicants are immediately dismissed due to being in the wrong country, only applied due to it being remote and have no idea what Salesforce is or they clearly fabricated their resume.

– The market is saturated. This also isn’t true, in fact you can scroll LinkedIn and see individuals starting new Salesforce jobs every single day including absolute beginners.

Now that we have some of those pesky doubts behind us let’s trust that we are just as capable and deserving of these jobs as the next person and start focusing on why we CAN do this, not why we can’t.

Why People Struggle To Land a Salesforce Job

Many people struggle to land Salesforce entry-level jobs because they believe that simply having a Salesforce Certification and applying for hundreds of jobs will guarantee success. However, this approach overlooks several critical factors necessary for securing a position. Success in the Salesforce job market requires a strategic approach, which we will cover in the next section. While the path may not be easy, it is straightforward if you follow the outlined formula. By understanding and implementing these key strategies, you can significantly improve your chances of landing a Salesforce job.

So What’s The Formula For Success?

1. Salesforce Administrator Certification

2. Focused/Strategic Networking

3. 4-6 Weeks of Hands-On Experience

4. Interview Preparation

5. Job Search Strategy

The Most Credible Paid Salesforce Career Program

If you’re looking at the formula we just reviewed and are feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of the DIY approach it’s probably time to consider if a paid/guided approach to success is the right path for you. While a DIY approach can be great for many, it’s not for everyone. So let’s take a look at the only paid program that is widely accepted as the real deal.

How Can We Be Sure It Works?

The truth is most programs/bootcamps don’t work, they fabricate stories, use headshots from online pictures, use abbreviated names for stories, they make up unverifiable stats claiming they’ve helped 10s of thousands of people, they give you incredible claims privately but never make these claims publicly. It all feels like a big secret… that’s what you want to avoid. Here’s how you can personally do your own research and be sure you’re making a sound choice.
 – Look for public testimonials with full names. Research the full name on LinkedIn and see if they work where the testimony says they worked, came from the background the testimony says they did and that the dates line up with when the testimony says they landed a job. Make sure the testimony also specifically mentions the name of the program and wasn’t stolen from another company.  – Find public statistics with support from the community. If the program is legit they should be celebrating their wins and the wins of their students. It should be a huge red flag if a program makes big claims but they don’t share their wins on their social media accounts or give you aggregate data. – Search for @ Mentions on LinkedIn. Any credible career program should be getting plenty of love on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is where professionals go to celebrate their success, if the program is creating success you should find at least a few mentions of the program from random people on LinkedIn celebrating.  – Constantly giving back. Seeing a company give and give to the community is another attribute you should look for. It shows that they have a deep rooted care for the community they serve. Without being truly involved these programs can’t have a finger on the pulse of what career seekers need.

One Salesforce Entry Level Career Program

Only one program in the world meets that criteria for Salesforce Entry Level declarative (non-coding) jobs and that’s the Salesforce Career Development Program by Talent Stacker.  To be clear, I’m not an affiliate this is a case of real recognizing real in the Salesforce training space. These guys have more testimonials than I’ve ever seen and they are all 100% verifiable, not one exception. They post their stats every single month on LinkedIn and they get @ mentioned in celebrations so often I can’t keep their name off of my LinkedIn feed. I often hear questions like… Is Talent Stacker legit, does Talent Stacker actually work, is Talent Stacker a scam??? TALENT STACKER IS 100% LEGIT and it really does work for those who follow the steps outlined. Just like anything else… having a gym membership doesn’t get you in shape, paying college tuition doesn’t get you a degree, buying a program doesn’t make you successful. You actually have to follow the steps.   They’ve helped over 1,300 individuals start entry level Salesforce careers and they are showing no signs of slowing. I’ve talked to their alumni, I’ve trained their alumni on development, I’ve spoken to their founder multiple times. They’re simply good at what they do. I’ve highlighted my 3 favorite stories below, but you can also go to their “Win Wall” to see waaaaaaay more!
